HOME - ABOUT THE RALLY
So we’ve decided to drive (almost) across the world, from the east of London to the east of the world, in a small crap ‘car’ that you probably wouldn’t even trust to get you to work! You’re probably either thinking ‘Kripes, what a silly thing to do!’ or ‘Damn, I wish I was doing something that fun this summer!’ either way, you’ve got to admit it’s gonna take some serious effort and surely that warrants a little bit of support from you!
We’d appreciate anything (though lets be honest, some more than other) from a ‘wow, that’s great guys good luck’ to offering us some equipment to sponsoring our charities,to donating said ‘small crap car’. If either of these last two take your fancy check out our sponsorship page. |

THERE ARE ONLY THREE RULES FOR THE RALLY:
1.You are entirely on your own, there is no support of any kind from the rally organizers (you should see what we had to sign) so you are entirely responsible for yourself (oop) and if you do get into any trouble then you have to get yourself out of it (and hopefully you wont need to involve the foreign office).
2.We must raise a minimum of £1000 for the charities that we are supporting. In our case these will be: CNCF and Mercy Corps. See our charities section for more details.
3.This is the rule that says you must do the rally in a wholly unsuitable vehicle that has an engine of 1.0 litre or less. There are some exceptions to this rule if your car has a high comedy value. In the past there have been a couple of black cabs, an ambulance, a car with a bath tub on the roof as well as a mini with a Great British red phone box strapped to the top! There is also a new rule for this year…… yawn (too many rules already!) but basically the suits in Mongolia got sick of everyone bringing in old falling apart 2CVs so now you car also has to be under 10 years old!
